Amatur Rahman, PhD
Postdoctoral Scholar

Amatur is interested in applying advanced data structures and algorithms to solve computational problems in population genetics, sequence assembly and compression of biological data. Her goal is to develop scalable techniques that facilitates faster analysis of large volumes of biological data. She obtained her PhD in Computer Science and Engineering from Pennsylvania State University. During her PhD, she was a recipient of CBIOS Trainee Fellowship (CBIOS: Computation, Bioinformatics and Statistics, an NIH funded Predoctoral Training Program). She obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and Engineering from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET).
